"Working on a little project," Xenna replied, her eyes unmoving from the screen. Code reflected from the shine of her irises. "And you, Fargo?"

"Out for a walk, drying my coat, thinking. You know, the usual." Fargo streched.

"Do you know if they're done with the prisoner yet?" Xenna asked calmly, her fingers hovering over the keyboard.

"No clue. I'm just hoping we can get to where we need to be before someone else dies aboard this ship." Fargo smiled. "You're getting sick of me, aren't you?"

"No, of course not." Xenna finally looked up from the screen and at Fargo. "I just have a lot on my mind. And I'm excited about finishing this little guy." She patted the foot-tall spider-like robot on the floor next to her. "You'll definitely see him around the ship. But, tell me if you hear anything about that prisoner, will you, Fargo?"

"Sure thing. I'll ask around." Fargo nodded his head and left the engineering bay. He would follow up on Xenna's request. There were some things he wanted to ask the priosner as well. He made his way through the halls to the brig.

Fargo entered the brig to see Devore, the prisoner, in a cell to his right. "Hey, got a minute?" Fargo asked. She looked at him through the glass in the door. "I just want to ask a few questions. Do you mind?" Devore dropped her head back down. Fargo leaned aginst the door, away from the window.

"Could you tell me whats going on around here? It seems that everything's gone to **** and back over the captain's death. I'm just here to know why, not to cast judgement or anything." I'll let the new captain do that. "I'm just here to help, okay?" Silence. "Devore?"

Fargo looked into the window. Her head was still down. She fell foward in a heap on the floor. "Oh ****!" Fargo unlached the door and ran inside. Devore was dead. "Oh double ****!" Fargo yelled. "Medic!"

2012 hours. Acting Captain Braxton looked up from his Chair on the bridge to hear a medic from sickbay tell him the prisoner was in critical condition.
"I'll be right there."

He left at a run to the medical section of deck six. No way was that goddam prisoner going to die before he had a peice of her. No way.

He skidded to a halt outside the double doors leading to the Intensive Care Unit. presenting a fingerprint to the door panel, the door barely missed him as he ran in.

"How is she?" he asked.

"I have managed to stabilize her, though it was close." said the lead surgeon, "She appears to have taken a Cyanide tablet."

"Oh, really?" He looked down at her. There she was, almost peacefully before him, making him want to strangle her more than her life's worth-which was not much.
"Who called it in?"

"The Armoror, Fargo, called it in. Apparently he was interrogating her."
"I see. When will she recover sufficiently for a-shall we say, more aggresive interrogation?"
"Maybe a few hours or a day or two."
"Excellent. Have her in the chamber whenever she is..." his eyes gleamed with malice. "Ready."

Fargo left as so as the medic was in the door. It took all he had not to run for his room. He quickly rounded into it and closed the door. And latched it shut. For a split second, he though of leaving and telling Xenna what happened, but decided aginst it. "Fargo uncovered the cage and let his raven out. "This is going to be a long night..."

Henry appeared in the engineering bay to find Xenna asleep on her work. He nudged her gently and she looked up at him groggily.

"The prisoner is in critical condition, but recovering. You asked me to tell you if something happened," Henry said calmly.

Xenna was awake immediately and stood up. "Thank you, Henry," she said with a smile. "I know I can count on you." She took a chip from the computer and plugged it into the small robot next to her. Its eyes lit up and it looked up her her.

"Henry, this is Teck. He's going to be my...personal assistant. You can trust him. I made him from scratch. Now, let's head down to sick bay..."

Fargo calmed down, enough to unlock the door. Placing the raven on his sholder, he carefully walked out of the room. Knowing the new captain, she's going to be in a world of trouble soon. Fargo quickened his pace to sick bay.

Xenna saw Fargo heading towards the sick bay as well. "Fargo! I see you everywhere. Checking on the prisoner?"

Upon hearing both Xenna and Fargo would be checking on DeVore, he felt is wise to confer with them. As he walked in he found them waiting.
"Status?"

"I can't belive she tired to kill her self right in front of me."
Fargo sighed.

"Guilt, I suppose. I don't intend to let her life end until I know who she's working for, anyway."
He turned to Fargo.
" I don't blame you for what happened, but could you at least take someone with you if you go see someone like that from now on?"
