Deep into the far reaches of space, a large, looming ship cruised among the stars. But it was no ordinary ship--it was mildly armed, had amazing defensive systems, and carried a crew of pirates on board.

Xenna stood at the ship's steering wheel, which was styled to be old-fashioned, just as the pirates of Earth over four thousand years before. The ship's navigator, Henry (a robot standing at seven feet tall), tapped her on the shoulder.

"Miss Xenna, this is my post, you know that," Henry said.

"I know. Just chill. I'm escaping engineering for the time being."

Fargo walked into the bridge. He saw the engineer at the helm.

"See anything? I think the engines are starting to miss you."

Fargo was medium tall, and had the habit of brushing his medium short hair out of his eyes. He wore a black coat, with strange markings on the sleeves and sholders.

"Yeah yeah, I know. They keep bugging me about this new addition to the plasma cannon. I needed a break. They can wait a while...maybe they'll figure it out on their own."

Xenna was in command of the engineering bay and held the position of Chief Engineer. She was in command of four engineers-- Ptlock, Graash, Leon, and Frawn. The team was small, as intelligent pirates were hard to come by at times. Even then, Xenna felt as if her team was plucked right out of high school at times.

Fargo gazed out into the starry void. He looked a Xenna with a lazy grin.

"Well, where to?"

"We'll be passing through the Lagoon Nebula shortly," Xenna replied. "I think we're heading to Gravanza III to do some trade, the market should be up soon. After that, I'm not sure, you'll have to check with the captain."

Fargo nodded. He turned to return to the armory. As the resident weaponier, his job was to keep the weapon's system and armory fully funtional. As wanted outlaws, its harder than it sounds.

Xenna sighed and figured she'd better go back to the engineering bay. When she arrived, Ptlock was instantly in her face. The Dromac's facial tendrils were quivering and his normally light purple face had turned eggplant.

"Calm down, Ptlock," Xenna sighed. "I was just getting some air. We should get Fargo down here. Hey, Leon, signal him for me, will ya? I just saw him..."

Fargo sighed. It was a circle.

"We steal things to fix the ship, we fix the ship to steal things."

He laughed. It was accually kinda funny. He smiled and started to polish the laser rifles. One thing he learned in the army, your weapon can't be too clean.

Leon nodded and sent a signal to the armory.

"Hey, Fargo, we need you in the engineering bay."

"Be right there."

Fargo turned and walked through the metal hallways to the engineering bay.

"What seems to be the problem?"

"You're the resident weaponier. We're trying to program this plasma cannon with an auto-targeting system. There's some kind of barrier we can't get past. Got any idea what it is?"

"Have you tried duck tape?"

Fargo laughed. Then he calmed down and began to focus. He took a wrench and crawled under the controls. After of mintune of random bumps and shakes, the controls come to life in shiny lights. Fargo crawled out, a bloody cut on his forehead.

"There you go, that should work." He wiped the blood off his head before it mixed with his white hair.

"Should work like a charm." He smiled.

Security Officer John Braxton was in his quarters, putting on his steel gray overcoat as he prepared to patrol the ship, as he did every day. It's not like it was a dull job. He could have never landed as exciting position in his Internal Affairs unit. It's just he wished he had more staff.

After forcing his rusty door open (he was not graced with the luxury of an automatic door) he began his patrol, beginning by heading up to the bridge to report to his Improv Captain, Xenna. After climbing the ladder to the bridge, he discovered it empty. He made the tedious journey down to engineering.

"Xenna", he said, as he walked through the door, "perhaps if you are going to act captain, then you should stay on the bridge"

"I'm Chief Engineer, I ain't no captain," Xenna said, waving her hand at Braxton. She turned to Fargo and examined his forehead. "We should get you to the medical bay, unless you mind me patching you up here. Geeze, Fargo, how'd you manage that?" Xenna turned to Graash. "Get to work on that cannon, kid."

"Sorry, ms. Engineer. I'd like to report one of the crewman has been acting strangly."
he walked up to her.
"ma'am?"

"Get outta my face with that ma'am talk, I'm younger than you, mister mid-thirties. And who's acting funny?"

"Stop!"

Fargo shouted. The happy grin that usually graced his face was gone in a flash.

"Stop with it, now!"

Fargo let out a strong sigh.

"Sorry. As for the cut, I'lll be fine, just a lose spark."
